Haridwar – Experiencing the Spiritual Heart of Uttarakhand
Haridwar is one of those places that instantly gives you a peaceful feeling. When I reached the city, I could hear temple bells, smell incense in the air, and see the Ganga flowing calmly. It really felt like I had entered a spiritual place. Haridwar is known as one of the holiest cities in India, and being there, you can feel why.
My favourite spot was
Har Ki Pauri. Sitting by the river and watching people offer prayers felt very calming. In the evening, I stayed for the Ganga Aarti, and it was a beautiful experience. The chanting, the lamps floating on the water, and the glow of the flames made the whole moment feel magical. It’s something you should definitely see at least once.I also walked around the markets near the ghats. The small shops, the smell of street food, and the crowd moving around made the place feel alive. I tried some local snacks and enjoyed exploring the busy lanes.
I also visited the Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi temples. The cable car rides were fun, and the view of the entire city from the top was amazing.
For me, Haridwar was not just a trip, it felt like a break for the mind. If you want to experience spirituality, culture, and the calmness of the Ganga, Haridwar is a great place to visit.
